- Dr. Owis Ahmad El-Nagar was born in Aswan, Egypt
- Graduated from the Faculty of Islamic Dawah at Al-Azhar University in Cairo in 1996
- Achieved first place in higher studies in the Department of Religions and Sects in 1999
- Obtained the Specialty Master Degree with Excellence in 2002
- He was elected Secretary General for the Imams of the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2003
- Obtained the Scholarly Doctoral Degree with Highest Honours in 2006
- Participated in several international conferences in and out of Egypt
- Participated in the final judgement committee of the Kharafi International Quran Competition for many years
- Member in the committee for the selection of imams, members and scholars for the Egyptian reciter schools
- Currently, Dr. Al-Nagar is the Imam and leader of Dawah at the Canadian Islamic Centre in Montreal, Canada
